Innovative Technology Showcase

SwRI's demonstration featured a retrofitted Honda Clarity hybrid equipped with advanced autonomous capabilities. The vehicle utilized SwRI's Ranger localization system, combining ground-level imagery and GPS data to achieve precise centimeter-level navigation. This technology, integrated with an ecodriving module, optimizes driving behavior for maximum energy efficiency. By anticipating traffic signals and minimizing unnecessary accelerations, SwRI's innovation aims not only to save fuel but also to improve overall traffic flow.
