Ingredients

For the Cauliflower:

  • 1 head cauliflower

  • 1 cup whole wheat flour
    ‍
  • 4 tbsp tapioca flour
    ‍
  • 1/2 cup plant-based milk
    ‍
  • 1/2 cup water
    ‍
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
    ‍

For the Sauce:

  • 1/4 cup tamari or coconut aminos (alternative soya sauce)
    ‍
  • 1/4 cup agave
    ‍
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    ‍
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    ‍
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
    ‍
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
    ‍
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
    ‍
  • 1/2 cup veggie broth (or water)
    ‍
  • 4 tbsp tapioca flour

For the Cauliflower:

  • 1 head cauliflower
    ‍
  • 1 dl whole wheat flour
    ‍
  • 4 tbsp tapioca flour
    ‍
  • 1.2 dl plant-based milk
    ‍
  • 1.2 dl water
    ‍
  • 1 tbsp sea salt
    ‍

For the Sauce:

  • 60 ml tamari or coconut aminos (alternative soya sauce)
    ‍
  • 60 ml agave
    ‍
  • 3 tbsp apple cider vinegar
    ‍
  • 1 tbsp sesame oil
    ‍
  • 1 tbsp hot sauce
    ‍
  • 1 tbsp minced ginger
    ‍
  • 2 tsp minced garlic
    ‍
  • 120 ml veggie broth (or water)
    ‍
  • 4 tbsp tapioca flour

Steps

For the Cauliflower:

  1. Cut 1 head of cauliflower into florets.
    ‍
  2. In a bowl, combine the whole wheat flour, tapioca flour, plant-based milk, water, and sea salt.

  3. Add all the cauliflower florets into the bowl until they’re all evenly coated in the batter. Bake them in your air fryer at 400Β°F (204Β°C) for 10 minutes OR bake them in the oven at 400Β°F (204Β°C) for 20 minutes.

To Make the Sauce:

  1. Combine tamari or coconut aminos, agave, apple cider vinegar, sesame oil, hot sauce, minced ginger, and minced garlic in a large pot. Let simmer on low heat for a few minutes.

  2. Add veggie broth and tapioca flour to the mix and stir until gooey.
    ‍
  3. Once the sauce is sticky, add the cauliflower and cook until heated throughout.
